Shut Out The Light Films is an independent film and distribution company, founded in Liverpool in 2014 by Christie Allanson and Daniel Draper.
We enjoy working on a range of projects and specialise in documentary production. A hands-on, personal and passionate approach during all stages of production and distribution is vital to Shut Out the Light’s process of filmmaking.
We have produced and distributed four feature-length documentaries to date, Nature of the Beast, The Big Meeting, Almost Liverpool 8 and Manifesto - all of which were released theatrically in UK cinemas and received positive national reviews.
We currently have multiple projects in development, including a fifth feature documentary Liverpool Story, due for release this year.
